Himalayan Garden in October

 

The table is booked!  We'll visit the newly opened Himalayan Garden in Grayshott on Wednesday 11th October. In their own words

Himalayan Garden is the new incarnation of The Manzil, a beloved Grayshott restaurant that closed its doors after over a decade. Under the guidance of Ali, The Manzil was known for its delicious Indian cuisine, which won over the hearts of many.

While The Manzil may be gone, its legacy lives on. Himalayan Garden pays tribute to the flavours of the past while also exploring the intricate world of Nepalese culinary artistry. The result is a truly unique dining experience that is sure to please both old and new fans. The restaurant has undergone a meticulous refurbishment, prioritising your comfort, enjoyment, and safety.

As you step into our abode, rest assured that every detail has been thoughtfully considered to craft an ambiance that envelops you in warmth and culinary delight.

We've done a trial run and can confirm that the decor is tasteful, the food is very tasty, and we'll see some familiar faces when we visit. Just three of us tried it out but all nine dishes that we ordered were excellent. 

As usual when we visit Grayshott, aperitifs will be at the Fox and Pelican from about 19:00 and then dinner will be at 20:00.  Please use the feedback form on the website or respond to this email to members to let us know if you expect to be there.

Spice Lounge in September!

The table is booked!  We had a great time at Dilli in Haslemere in August, and we thought we'd head back to Petersfield in September.  Although we went to the Spice Lounge in January, we're looking forward to another visit.  So please note: Tuesday 12th

We won't ask for the kulchi lamb this time - that's something that I just couldn't sort out over the phone without knowing numbers, but maybe we can plan ahead next time. 

I'm going to ask for feedback whether we should do more Wednesdays - at the moment the majority of our meetings are Tuesdays, like this one. 

Aperitifs will be at the Old Drum from about 7 pm and then dinner will be at 8.  Please let me know either by e-mail in response to this members' meeting notice or using the feedback page on our web site whether you expect to make it.
