The table is booked! Our October meeting takes place in Grayshott on Tuesday 11th
at the Gurkha Durbar. Aperitifs will be at the Fox and Pelican from
about 7 pm, and then dinner is booked for 8 pm just up the road.
We had a great visit there in June and had planned to go back in
November. We’ve had to switch. Our plan was Shah Manzil in Liss in
October but it’s closed on Tuesdays. We’ll figure out a date later.
We need to give the restaurant as good an estimate of numbers as
possible by Monday at the latest but an early reply is very helpful.
Please reply as soon as possible to the e-mail notice sent to members or
use the feedback form
on our web site. There's lots of parking in Grayshott including at the
F&P, and three public car parks, as well as on the street.
Looking forward to a great evening on Tuesday 11th!

October meeting - Gurkha Durbar, Grayshott
Thursday, 25 August 2022
Tue 13th September - Bay Leaf, Grayshott
The table is booked! By popular request, we’re going to Bay Leaf, Grayshott again in September. Our meeting is on Tuesday 13th.
Aperitifs will be at the Fox and Pelican (front bar) from about 7 pm and
then dinner is at 8.
We always enjoy ourselves at the Bay Leaf. For many members,
it's the favourite venue. We rarely go to the same place three times
in a year but it's so good, we couldn't resist.
Please let me know as soon as possible whether you expect to be there,
either using the
feedback page
of the web site or in answer to this meeting notice e-mail. To make
sure we book enough places, please respond as early as possible, ideally
by 8 p.m. on Sunday 11th. Looking forward to a great evening!
Sad news
We heard through Petersfield Rugby Club that Malcolm Godden died last week. He was one of the Curry Club originals - he rarely missed a meeting until he suffered a stroke at home about ten years ago. After that, he and Jo still made huge efforts to attend. We soon learnt which venues were wheelchair-friendly - sadly many weren't. We'll raise a glass to his memory at our September meeting.Monday, 1 August 2022
Wed 10th Aug - Dhanmondi, Whitehill
Slightly late - I was away - but the table is booked! We'll return to Dhanmondi in Whitehill for our next meeting, on Wednesday 10th. This was actually the last place we met before the pandemic, in February 2020, when we had a pretty strong turnout. It will be good to return.
Aperitifs will be at the Woodlark, the pub/restaurant just 150 yards away on the other side of the A325 from about 19:00. It's a Marstons pub and I'm interested to see what beers they'll have from their excellent range.
Dinner will be at 20:00. There's a map below (if the technology works) or you can follow this Google Maps link for map and directions. Parking is at the back of the restaurant.
Please let me know as soon as possible whether you expect to be there, either using the feedback page of the web site or in answer to the meeting notice sent to members. To make sure we have enough places, please respond as early as possible, ideally by 8 p.m. on Monday. Looking forward to a great evening on 10th August - hope to see everyone who isn't on a sun-kissed beach!

Wed 13th July - Chilli Nights
Chilli Night(s) - Wednesday 13th July!
The table is booked for our July meeting which will take place on Wednesday 13th. We last visited this restaurant in October 2019, before the pandemic put a stop to our meetings, so it's great to return there and we're sure of a warm welcome.
Aperitifs will be at the Mill Tavern from 7-ish. It's about ten minutes' walk to the restaurant or three minutes by car. Dinner is booked for 8 pm.
Please let me know either using the feedback form on the web site or in response to the e-mail notice to members whether or not you expect to be there. I'd like to know as soon as possible but definitely by Monday morning (11th) please, so that we can adjust the booking if necessary.
Chilli Night(s) always looks after us well. Hope to see you there!
Looking back to June, wasn't Gurkha Durbar fantastic? We have two great options in Grayshott so we may be back quite soon.
